Oh. My. God.

Merete just called and let me know that her cat, Olliver, was hit by a car.
I can’t believe this is happening. Olliver is at the vet clinic right now… He’s got a broken hip and some damage in his back. The vet couldn’t say if he’d be alright until after surgery. Surgery my cousin isn’t sure she wants to put the cat through. - Since there’s no guarantee the cat will ever be able to function properly even *with* surgery.

Oh, I feel so bad for her right now. She’s had so much bad luck with her cats. First, there was Yoshi who turned out to have a heart condition. Then there was Lolita who was hit by a car and died. And now Olliver’s been hit by a car, too! I’m so glad my cats are indoor cats. No cars and traffic in my apartment!

On a different (happier..) note, my cats were spayed today. I had an appointment at the vet clinic at 9:15 this morning and ended up staying there until around 1:20pm. It was great to be back at the clinic. Don’t think I’d been there since September last year. Got to assist the way that I used to, too
Ani and Siouxsie have been sleeping most of the time since I brought them home. Ani keeps trying to hide under the covers in my mom’s bed while Siouxsie has been kind of restless and kept wandering around and falling asleep in odd places (and at odd moments, too).

Right now, Siouxsie has one of those collar things on. She just wouldn’t leave her bandages alone. I think it’s cause she loves glue. No idea why, but she does. She really loves glue.
Ani is scared of Siouxsie now that she’s wearing the collar. Almost doesn’t seem like she recognizes her. She’s been growling and hissing at her ever since she spotted her with the collar on. Silly cat. Always afraid of stupid things.

Anyway… I just got another call from Merete She’d just talked to the vet again and the vet had said that she thought it would probably be best to have Olliver put to sleep my poor baby. I still remember him from when I had him here. Tragic that his life would end this way. This really isn’t what I was hoping for when Merete took him home back in August last year.

Anyway, I’m just gonna go cry a bit. And my next post might just be R.I.P. one. Again. Seems like most of my blog posts are cause of dead cats. Oh well.

OMG. I can’t believe it.

I just got a text message from my dad, telling me that my grandfather died about an hour ago.
I don’t think it’s had time to sink in yet, it just feels so unreal…

I don’t have any grandparents left now. My grandfather was the last one. Both my grandparents on my mom’s side of the family died within a year of each other back in 1999 and 2000. Then my grandmother on my dad’s side died in 2003. And now my grandfather is gone, too.

I keep telling myself not to cry.. Don’t know why, I just hate crying. Chances are I’m gonna end up crying myself to sleep tonight anyway.

Whoopsie… I haven’t blogged for three months. heh.

Truth is, I just haven’t had anything to blog about.
I no longer work at the vet clinic, so I don’t have much to do these days. Most of the time I just sit at home, doing nothing (pretty much).

A while back I decided to try to go back to school, so I took up one subject; English.
It’s not going too well. I just can’t focus on what I’m supposed to be doing and end up staring at the same spot on the page for ages.

Oh well. I’ll try to blog again soon… If something interesting happens (which it won’t, but whatever).

I’m so happy right now!
I’ve managed to find homes for all 4 kittens! Yay! It looked a little dark there for a moment.
Wednesday last week, I got the two male kittens in return cause the woman’s son was allergic to them. The same day she returned the two males, one of the two females got a new home with a very nice family Then, on Friday the black&white male got a new home with some people… They were very quiet when they were here, so I don’t really know much about them or anything. Kinda disappointed about that, but… at least the cute kitten got a home

Aaaand… Today, someone called about the kittens again. I thought that was a bit strange cause the last ad I had in the newspaper was on Friday. Anyway, I got two calls about the kittens today, and this nice girl came and got the other female. She seemed really nice and also seemed to really like that particular kitten really well. I’m so glad this kitten got a new home, cause it’s the one I liked best this whole time. Such a little cutie. If I hadn’t already had two cats, I would have kept her myself :/

And then the biggest news! Merete is visiting for a few days and she is taking the grey&white kitten home with her! Yay! She’s really taken to that kitten, and she hasn’t had a cat since Lolita was hit by a car and died last year. She still hasn’t decided on a name, but I guess she will before she goes home. She got here on Saturday evening and I still don’t know how long she’ll be staying. Probably until Wednesday or Thursday.

Merete went to the vet clinic with me today. She brought Betsy and put her in one of the kennels… Betsy really didn’t like that and kept barking all the time. Guess who was a very happy dog when the vet student who sometimes “hangs out” at the clinic let her out and brought her to the staff room where I was sitting with Merete and Hege? Yep, that was Betsy! LOL

I really have a lot to do these days. I have five fanlistings on upcoming (and still have to maintain the 50+ fanlistings I already have) and I’ve taken over the Mesmerized TCG from Natalie. I’m still working on moving that over to my own server. Might take a little while longer.

Oh well. I should probably go keep Merete company, but I’ll try to write more soon
